Overview

The whole risk picture: registers and the scenarios recorded in them, the categories that classify them, the key risk indicators measured underneath them, the appetite statements they are judged against, and the point-in-time snapshots that freeze all of it. A register is the book; a scenario is an entry in it, and scenarios are the only part of this resource a key can write — everything else is either the customer’s own governance decision or an evidence artefact. Two things a reader gets wrong by default: an indicator’s direction decides which side of a threshold is bad, and a measurement’s status was frozen against the thresholds in force when it was taken, so it can legitimately disagree with what today’s thresholds would say.
